 लाईफ इन पुणे मेट्रो...       पुणे शहर जगाच्या नकाशावर शैक्षणिक, संशोधन तसेच विकासात्मक संस्था, आय.टी. पार्कस्‌ आणि पश्चिम महाराष्ट्रातील ऑटोमोबाईल उद्योगांमुळे ओळखले जाते.गेल्या काही दशकांत शहराची लोकसंख्या वाढली. देशाच्या विविध भागांतील लोक रोजगाराच्या संधीमुळे पुण्यात स्थलांतरित झाले. परंतु, नागरिकांना मिळणाऱ्या निरंतर आणि शाश्वत पायाभूत सुविधांचा या शहरात अभाव होता. पुण्यातील नागरिकांचा सार्वजनिक वाहतूक व्यवस्थेच्या माध्यमातून प्रवासात जाणारा सरासरी वेळ हा १०० मिनिटांच्या वर आहे. या कारणामुळे अधिकाधिक नागरिक स्वत:च्या वाहनांचा उपयोग करू लागले. यामुळे शहरात वाहतुकीचा प्रश्न निर्माण झाला. अपघाताचे प्रमाण वाढले.                  या सर्व समस्यावर मात करण्यासाठी 2016 साली पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यानी पुणे मेट्रो चे भूमिपूजन केले. तेव्हापासून बहुचर्चित असलेला पुणे मेट्रोचा प्रकल्प सर्वांचा चर्चेचा केंद्रबिंदू ठरला. संथ गतीने होणारं काम आणि त्यात झालेले राजकारण यामुळे मेट्रोचे काम पुर्ण होण्यास जास्त लागला. हा प्रकल्प 2025 असा...
